Absolute Alcohol
The absolute alcohol plant allows the Ethyl Alcohol anhydrification (the elimination of the water molecules) in order to achieve an alcohol content of 99.9% through molecular sieves filled with zeolites. The main advantage of this system is the use of a bed of zeolites, capable of the absorbtion of the water content. Compared to a traditional absolute alcohol plants, this system allows the abolition of the use of cyclohexane or of other azeotropic extractors that could present safety problems.
