Distillerie Mazzari is a worldwide leader for the production of Natural Tartaric Acid with an annual production of 12.000 tons.

The raw material used in the production of Natural Tartaric Acid is Calcium Tartrate, which is converted into Natural Tartaric Acid by reaction with Sulphuric Acid and Water. This is followed by phases of formation and subsequent purification of crystals of Natural Tartaric Acid (concentration, crystallization and centrifugation), drying and sieving in different commercial granulometries.

The Natural Tartaric Acid is stored in silos to be then packaged in 25 kg bags or in big-bags.
